In the Hotel foyer and main bar, we have tried to capture the spirit of those halcyon days when Bourke was a busy port, woolgrowers were prosperous and the labor movement was stirring in Bourke. Elsewhere the hotel is contemporary, reminding ourselves that Bourke has modern, colourful rural industries operated by real people. The Hotel began its life as \"The Royal\" in 1863. It was then renamed the \"Old Royal Hotel\" and took on a heritage flavour, and it had a major facelift in 1993 before its renaming and re-energising as \"The Port of Bourke Hotel\" in July 1997. * Country style accommodation at the hotel is available all year. * Counter meals are available 7 days a week 12-2pm. * The bistro is open Monday to Saturday 6.30-8.30pm. * The restaurant facilities are also available for private functions. * Secure parking facilities are available. * There is a modern bar and well grassed beer garden to enjoy a drink in air-conditioning or the shade. * Kids playground in the beer garden
